What is your rabbits body language telling you?

Rabbits “speak” in subtle ways. Learning their body language helps build trust and notice when something’s off.

  • Binky = Pure Joy (jump, twist, zoomies!)

  • Loaf = Relaxed and comfy.

  • Tooth purring = Happy bunny!

  • Thump = Warning or frustration.

  • Ears back, crouching = Fear or discomfort.

  • Ears forward = Something has caught their attention!

  • Lethargy, hiding, or changes in posture? May signal pain — see a vet.

  • Chinning = This is mine!

  • Periscoping = I’m curious and checking things out.

  • Hunched = I’m uncomfortable and likely in pain

The more you observe, the better you’ll understand your bunny’s unique voice.
